First off, is it correct to call the Cadillac ELR an electric vehicle when it's more or less a hybrid? More or less speaking, underneath it's more or less a Chevrolet Volt.
And I don't care. No matter how it drives (undoubtedly much like a Chevy Volt) it will always get attention. Those body lines. Dat ass. May I say it again — gorgeous.
But wait. Chevrolet was accused of stealing Ferrari styling cues for the Corvette C7 so it wouldn't surprise me that the body lines of the Cadillac ELR look so similar to the Lamborghini Gallardo.
Let's take a closer look. Start by following the body lines at the tail lights moving forward. Now you be the judge.

Gadzooks! I see it too! Not sure if this makes me want the ELR more or less. It is a brilliant looking small car but at $70k+ it way too small to compete with Tesla.

The C7 looks like a Ferrari and the ELR looks like a Gallardo.
The same way a submarine looks like a train.

Man, I do see it now. Cannot unsee.
I am perfectly okay with Lamorghini Styling making its way to cars that us mere mortals can own, though.

A grayed comment! Have you been authored on Oppo yet, or is Kinja having that time of the month?

No. No it is not.
Also, $75K for a two-door Volt? You can get into a Model S for that money (which is actually an EV). Good luck with that, GM.

What what?
Yeah, no. Cadillac Cien predates Gallardo, and the ELR's clearly an evolution of the Cien's design.

Yup, and like Lamborghini could care either way.

It's just another angular coupe. I don't think it looks anything like a Gallardo, and Cadillac has had the art & science design language since before the Gallardo came out.

This is a stupid topic. There so many styles that "look the same" from different companies. I hate posts like this. One company designs a square, then the next company designs a square also. Who designed it first, who cares? I care about who designed it better.
